In the laboratory of robotics, we are ready for students between 10 and 15 years old who are ready to apply their knowledge of mathematics, physics, and programming in practice. Lab participants will have to develop their own autonomous robotic station, which will explore an area and analyze the air quality at a certain point. To achieve it we’ll use LEGO Mindstorm EV3 and the Arduino microcontroller. The aim of the project is to solve the problem of air pollution by helping scientists determine the maximum concentration of carbon dioxide in different areas of our planet. We are waiting for young engineers who are ready to solve the global problems of mankind!

DRONE PILOTING

In the Laboratory of Unmanned Aviation Systems (BAS) / UAV lab we’re waiting for young engineers between 10 and 15 years old. The unmanned aircraft industry is developing at an incredible rate. Drones are used almost everywhere, from cargo delivery to air taxis and object inspection from the air. As you might know, there’s a problem with the shortage of food and drinking water in some regions of the Earth. The solution to these problems can be found in the use of unmanned aircraft for the delivery of goods to areas with humanitarian disasters.

Participants will assemble, solder, adjust, and program a quadrocopter for the delivery of cargo (humanitarian aid). The participants will develop the seizure for the cargo themselves.

The project results will be presented by young engineers at the final show at the end of the shift in the form of a prototype quadrocopter with a grip for cargo (humanitarian aid).

Programming is recognized as one of the most important skills of the 21st century! A person who knows the basics of programming discovers completely new opportunities in life: he/she can automate routine tasks, use powerful tools for processing information, and will always a good job. Our goal is to master the basic principles of programming in the Python language.

In the classroom, the participants will get acquainted with topics such as data types, variables, objects, operators and expressions, conditional operators and cycles, and functions. We will use Python to experiment with real-world objects. Although Python works on any computer, we will use the Raspberry Pi. It is small, can work on batteries, and can be built into a robot, a smart home, or a watering or energy management system. All projects that we carry out are technical ways to solve the global problems of humanity.

STOP-MOTION ANIMATION

Stop Motion Animation is a technology for creating movies using frame-by-frame shooting of objects. This is the most expressive visual language, and it is used to create all types of video production: cartoons, commercials, and TV spots for shows and films. Stop Motion cartoons are often found among Oscar nominees, and commercials gain millions of views on YouTube. In our animation studio, we are waiting for kids and teens between 10 and 15 years old who love to draw, invent stories, and edit video clips.

The course goal is:

To learn how to create cartoons using Stop Motion technology, which includes techniques such as paper reload animation, plasticine plane animation, and pixel animation.

We’ll go through the whole process of a cartoon creation: the birth of an idea, script writing, drawing a storyboard, preparing the backgrounds and scenery, shooting both on handy and professional equipment, recording the voice acting, rendering the finished cartoon, and placing it on social networks.
