In this course students will learn how to create installation art. They will learn what installation art is and how it differs from other art forms. Students will critically respond to global issues of their choice with installation art. A significant part of the materials the students will work with will be recycled bottles or similar objects.
Students will learn how to create scale and atmosphere through the techniques of suspension, large scale assemblage and the use of LED lights.
Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion primarily involving the art of mimicking drum machines, using one's mouth, lips, tongue, and voice. It may also involve vocal imitation of turntablism, and other musical instruments. Want to learn how to do it? Join this club!
Do you like to dance? Students will develop their grace and rhythm through pair and group dynamics, individual work, and music-oriented/silent routines. The club will feature a variety of different styles, student-crafted routines, aerobic drills, and contemporary dance techniques.
